There are about 200 million monthly active Indian users on WhatsApp sent over 20 billion messages on New year Eve,according to Facebook.A record Breaking 75 Billion messages,including 13 billion images and 5 billion videos,were sent using the app worldwide on New Year's Eve.Further,more than 10 million people around the world went live on the Facebook on the day .
WhatsApp and Facebook have set a new record on New year's Eve.The previous record set in 2016 as 63 billion messages were sent on new year.Since WhatsApp was also down on many mobile OS on the new year eve and people took it to the twitter. Twitter was filled with about half million tweets when WhatsApp was down.It was down for about an hour in India.Since WhatsApp has seen this failure many times in 2017.
